Annual Events

If you get bored in your time off in Yuma, you have only yourself to blame.

Throughout the year, the area is host to a wide variety of entertainment events and activities, any of which might appeal to you.

Do you like the theater? You can see locally produced performances at the Historic Yuma Theatre.

Is hot-air ballooning your bag? The Colorado River Crossing Balloon Festival takes place in November on the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Following that are the Lettuce Days Festival, Yuma Jaycees Silver Spur Rodeo and Parade, Quechan tribe's annual powwow, the Midnight at the Oasis classic car show and Yuma County Fair.

And if you're a baseball fan, there's something for you as well. Major League exhibition games are played at Desert Sun Stadium, and Yuma also has its own minor league team, the Scorpions.
